Feast of the Butterflies

This bright silhouette is populated by a number of different butterflies in various stages of their life cycle. The poppy, which functions as her heart, is feasted on by butterflies found in the mid-Atlantic region. The mask is the wing of a Blue Morpho, a native to Brazil. The Honeysuckle, one of my favorite summer-time scents, that make up her legs are host to all sorts of life. This piece is about my wonder and delight in the beauty and diversity present in the natural world.
